This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and secure your personal data when you contract with our moving, packing, storage, or related services in Florida or visit our website.

Information We Collect â—‹ Personal Information: name, address, email, phone, billing/payment data â—‹ Service Details: origin/destination address, inventory, special handling requests â—‹ Technical & Usage: IP, browser, cookies, analytics â—‹ Communications: messages, emails, notes related to your move

Moverbase acts as a data processor for us and does not use your data for its own commercial purposes. â—‹ We may also use other marketing platforms for communications; they act as processors under confidentiality agreements.

AI / Automation Usage â—‹ We may use automated tools (e.g. route optimization, pricing algorithms, scheduling aids) that process your data for internal operational efficiency. â—‹ Such outputs are advisory; human oversight is maintained. â—‹ We do not use AI to infer sensitive attributes (race, religion, health) or in a way that would violate privacy laws. â—‹ If you object to automated processing, you may request human review by contacting us.

Terms of Use

Damascus Moving, LLC – Terms & Conditions / Terms of Service

 

Effective Date: October 20,2025 These Terms govern your contract with us for moving, packing, storage, and related services within the State of Florida (intrastate moves).

 

1. Acceptance / Scope By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms. We operate solely within Florida and do not provide interstate or cross-state moves under this agreement.

 

2. Services & Subcontracting â—‹ We may engage licensed subcontractors to perform parts of the move. We remain responsible for coordinating those services, but our liability is subject to the limits set in these Terms. â—‹ You consent to our use of subcontractors and acknowledge that subcontracted performance is covered only as per the liability limitations herein.

 

3. Estimates, Contract & Payment â—‹ We will provide a written estimate and contract before any move services commence, signed or electronically acknowledged by you and us, as required by Florida law. â—‹ The estimate will include all cost components (loading, transportation, unloading, accessorial fees). â—‹ We must accept at least two of the following payment forms: (a) cash, cashier’s check, money order, traveler’s check; (b) valid personal check; (c) credit card (e.g. Visa, MasterCard). â—‹ You may request adjustments prior to loading; final charges will reflect actual conditions.

 

4. Declared Value / Valuation Options & Limits â—‹ Under Florida law, we may not limit liability below $0.60 per pound per article for household goods unless properly disclosed. â—‹ You will choose between (i) Released Value (carrier liability limited to $0.60 per pound per article) or (ii) Full Value Protection (repair, replacement, or cash settlement) for which a premium may be charged. â—‹ Disclosure of the chosen option, with rate and cost, will be made in writing in the estimate/contract before performance. â—‹ For Full Value Protection, you may be required to supply documentation or proof of value on high-value items.

 

5. Inspection, Inventory & Acknowledgment of Condition â—‹ At pickup and delivery, we and you will jointly inspect and sign a written inventory and condition report. â—‹ Any visible damage or missing items must be noted on the delivery receipt at time of delivery; failure to note such may reduce recovery rights. â—‹ For any concealed damage discovered later, you must report it in writing within the timeframes specified below.

 

6. Claims / Notice & Deadline Because we only operate intrastate in Florida: â—‹ You must submit a written notice of any loss, damage, or delay within 30 days from the date of delivery (or scheduled delivery) to damascusmoving@gmail.com â—‹ â—‹ The written notice must include: your name, contract number, addresses, the nature of loss, and a dollar amount requested. â—‹ We must respond or acknowledge your claim within 30 days of receipt; investigation or settlement must be completed within 120 days when possible. â—‹ For lawsuits or formal claims, you have four (4) years from the date of breach or damage (consistent with Florida’s statute on property damage) to bring suit.

 

7. Limitation of Liability â—‹ Except for loss or damage due to our gross negligence or willful misconduct, our total liability for loss or damage is limited to the lesser of (a) the declared value (if Full Value Protection selected) or (b) the amount paid for the specific moving service. â—‹ We expressly exclude liability for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, except as required by Florida law.

 

8. Prohibited Items & Customer Warranty â—‹ You warrant that all items provided for transport are lawful, properly packed, and non-hazardous. â—‹ You agree to indemnify ad hold us harmless from claims arising from a breach of your warranty, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence.

 

9. Payment Lien & Possession Retention â—‹ We may retain possession of goods until all charges (including ancillary/storage fees) are satisfied, consistent with Florida law. â—‹ If we hold goods in storage, and upon your written request we must notify you of storage location and amount due within 5 days.

 

10. Force Majeure â—‹ We are not liable for delays or failures to perform caused by circumstances beyond our control (weather events, acts of God, road closures, labor strikes, or government actions).

 

11. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration (Orange City / Volusia County) â—‹ If a dispute arises, parties first agree to attempt mediation in Volusia County, Florida (or nearby) under mutually agreed rules. â—‹ If mediation fails, the dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration held in Deltona, Florida (nearest larger city), under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (or other agreed arbitration body). â—‹ The arbitrator's decision is final and binding, enforceable in a Florida court. â—‹ Notwithstanding, you preserve the right to lodge claims with regulatory authorities (e.g. Florida Department of Agriculture or state AG) where permitted.

 

12. Termination / Suspension of Service â—‹ We may refuse or suspend service if payment is not made, unsafe conditions exist, or you breach these Terms. â—‹ Upon termination, any outstanding charges remain due.

 

13. Governing Law â—‹ These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. â—‹ Venue for any court actions shall be in the Circuit Court of Volusia County, Florida, unless arbitration is invoked as above.

 

14. Modifications â—‹ We reserve the right to modify these Terms. Updated versions will be posted on our website with a new effective date. Continued use of our services after modifications indicates acceptance.
